Mudgee Readers' Festival 2025
Jul 23, 2024Celebrating its fourteenth year, the Mudgee Readers’ Festival has become a cornerstone event for literature enthusiasts — a huge achievement for a festival created by a small team of passionate readers, with the first modest events held in Lawson Park.
Over the years the Festival has gone from strength to strength, with an exciting line-up of events across our gorgeous town, including MRF Book Club and bibliotherapy sessions, storytelling events, book and wine matching and, of course, our Long Lazy Lunch.
Authors who have attended Mudgee Readers’ Festival in the past include Charlotte Wood, Anita Heiss, Kate Grenville, Michael Robotham, Candice Fox, Benjamin Law & last year’s headliner, Nagi Maehashi.
The Mudgee Readers’ Festival prides itself on presenting dynamic, fun and thought-provoking events. Encouraging attendees to be an active part of the Festival through engaging with conversations, creating content and sharing ideas with brilliant writers.
Each Festival simply could not happen without a dedicated team of volunteers, and each year the efficiency and warmth of volunteers is noted by attendees. For those eager to contribute, volunteering opportunities are available and eagerly welcomed.
This year’s program is taking shape. Authors coming to Mudgee in 2024 (so far) include Siang Lu, Suzanne Leal, Kirsty Jagger, Tim Ayliffe, Sarah Temporal and Jamelle Wells
